About UsTerry Litton has been involved and breeding Samoyeds since the 1960's. He developed the White Eagle line and imported dogs from England in the 70's and early 80's. Terry chose Mary Norton to be his handler when she was a young girl. When due to health issues Terry had to start his line over again, he asked Mary to find dogs that had his style and structure. This is also why all White Eagle dogs are not bred until after two years and have all health clearances!
The product of these dogs was Ch. White Eagle's Sarah BOS at the Samoyed Club of America National. Mary had married Jim Augustus in 1993 and Sarah became a permanent family member in 1995, little did the Augustus's know this until after her show career and her motherhood. Sarah did it her way and started the breeding partnership of Terry, Mary and Jim under the White Eagle name. Since this partnership and many champions later we have the foundation of a line of special girls. Sarah's daughter, Ch. White Eagle's Etched in Stone, (Stella) went on to reach the goal of winning the Samoyed National Specialty and number one Samoyed in 2001. Stella's daughter Ch. White Eagle's Celestial Sky, (Celeste) followed her mother's footsteps winning the National Specialty and 9 Best in Specialties and 8 all breed Best in Shows being number one Samoyed in 2009. We have been very fortunate to have Carly McNellie join us. Carly is a very talented junior handler who has become part of the team in every aspect. Carly piloted Celeste's son, GCH White Eagle's the Sky's the Limit for Alpine Glo, ( Houston) to his Championship and three Best in Specialty wins at 15 months of age. Houston has followed the family tradition by being the third generation to win Best in Show at the National in 2015. White Eagle is very proud to have generations of healthy dogs with a winning tradition! |
